Credits and media rights

Every image and video on Mint Garage HQ has a recorded source and a reason to be here. This page lists them all.

How we choose media

In order of preference, Mint Garage HQ uses:

  1. Visuals we make ourselves: paint chips, the 3D Mint Garage blank, charts and layouts.
  2. Official embeds, using each platform’s own player.
  3. Creative Commons and public-domain media, after checking the licence at its original source.
  4. Licensed stock, where the licence fits.
  5. Limited screenshots, only when needed to report on a specific page.

We never rehost media we don’t have the right to use, never remove watermarks or credits, and never reuse marketplace, retailer, wiki or social photos because they happen to be public. Non-commercial (NC) licences aren’t used, and no-derivatives (ND) media is never cropped or edited.

Creators keep ownership of their work. Mint Garage HQ doesn’t claim ownership of embedded or credited media, and showing it doesn’t mean its creator endorses Mint Garage HQ. Videos play through YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player, which loads only when you press play.

  • Paint chips are Mint Garage HQ’s approximations of each car’s listed colour, not product photos or exact colour matches.
  • The 3D car in the hero is an unbranded “Mint Garage blank” built in code. It isn’t a model of any real casting.
  • Charts, timelines, card layouts and share images are generated from Mint Garage HQ’s own data.

If you hold the rights to something on Mint Garage HQ and want it credited differently, reviewed or removed, email surfaced-x@protonmail.com with the page address and what you’d like changed. We review good-faith requests promptly and remove media while a concern is being reviewed.
