Super Treasure Hunts
Limited versions of mainline cars packed at random into regular retail cases. Spectraflame paint and Real Riders rubber tires set them apart, and at the shelf they cost the same as any mainline car.
Who can buy
Found at retail, or bought on the secondary market. Mattel has also sold complete STH sets to RLC members (the 2023 set was $250).
How supply works
Introduced in 2007. Mattel doesn't publish run sizes or per-case odds. Collector estimates circulate, but we don't repeat them as fact.

What that means for value
Two widely read value guides quote carded STHs at “$20 to $200 or more” and “$30–$150+” without stating a method. We publish a range for a specific car only when sold evidence supports it.
